Concurrent Show: Manufacturing World Fukuoka
What is Semiconductor World Fukuoka?
Why We're Launching the Show
Driven by significant capital investment and the rapid strengthening of the semiconductor supply chain across the Kyushu region, Semiconductor World Fukuoka has been launched to support innovation and stable production throughout the semiconductor industry by bringing together semiconductor manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, and technology suppliers.
Kyushu – Japan's "Silicon Island"
Backed by abundant water resources and well-developed infrastructure, Kyushu has been a major hub for Japan's semiconductor industry since the 1960s.
With one of the country's highest shares of semiconductor production, Kyushu has earned the nickname "Silicon Island" and continues to be one of Japan's leading semiconductor manufacturing regions.
Growing Investment Following the Entry of a Leading Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturer
The expansion of a leading Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer into Kumamoto has accelerated investment and facility development throughout Kyushu, further strengthening the region as one of the world's most important semiconductor manufacturing clusters.
